The House Appropriations Committee has once again highlighted the need for PLGA research in its most recent House Appropriations Bill for the 2016 fiscal year. Specifically, the Committee encourages continued research efforts toward the identification of new therapies for PLGA patients and urges the NCI and NIH to seek public/private partnership opportunities on PLGA research. We are pleased that our advocacy efforts are being heard and are encouraged by the growing recognition of Congress to hold the NCI and NIH accountable for progress in the PLGA arena, as well as in the pediatric cancer treatment world as a whole. The full text of the Committee mandate can be read here.
