This unprecedented conference to be held at the prestigious and inspirational Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory from Oct 31- Nov 2 is entitled “From Bench to Bedside and Beyond”. The conference will focus on emerging technologies, drug development, and treatments utilized in pediatric cancers. This conference is PERFECT for lay people, scientists, clinicians, and everyone with an interest in eradicating all forms of pediatric cancer.
Sponsored by The Coalition Against Childhood Cancer (CAC2), a non-profit organization made up of research funding organizations and advocates for pediatric cancer, and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, the conference is the first of its kind, providing a unique opportunity for Children’s Oncology Group (COG) members to gain visibility and mingle with a full spectrum of cancer research stakeholders, including scientists, clinicians, government officials, industry representatives, and numerous non-profit funding organizations of pediatric cancer research. Attendees will gain insight into the progress and obstacles in advancing childhood cancer research and discover actions you can take to help advance the cause.
Pediatric brain cancer is the #1 cause of cancer death in children, but the public perception of the breadth and impact of this devastating disease has yet to catch up with reality. As members of the pediatric brain tumor community, we must relentlessly advocate to ensure that brain tumors are on the pediatric cancer research agenda not just for foundations dedicated to brain tumor research but for all pediatric cancer foundations.
Pediatric brain tumor families, join the conversation! Don’t miss your chance to be part of collaborative history and attend CAC2’s 2016 Pediatric Cancer Research Conference. We are uniting the childhood cancer community in a collaborative forum to advance research for childhood cancers. At Cold Spring Harbor, you will hear from top scientists on the frontier of emerging technologies, listen to clinicians’ views from the front lines, and engage in a collaborative forum filled with the full range of stakeholders for childhood cancer.
