The 8th Annual Camp Sunshine Pediatric Low-grade Astrocytoma Brain Tumor Week 2019 was a “SOLD OUT” family experience with PLGA families from 17 different states and 1 European country in attendance! We’re excited to share that 30% of the families were ‘first timers’ at Camp Sunshine. They were welcomed with open arms by experienced campers and parents who have joined us in earlier summers. Campers enjoyed a full schedule of healthy mind and body family activities, kids’ sports, waterfront activities, adventure courses and so much more.  In addition, PLGA week welcomed VIP Researcher/Clinician, Dr. Daphne Haas-Kogan, Chairwoman Department of Radiation Oncology at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, who shared an update on clinical trial progress for PLGA patients and hope for brighter futures.  Camp Sunshine continues to be a respite for PLGA patients and their families and a much-needed community of support and lifelong friendships.

We are now accepting applications for the 9th Annual Camp Sunshine Pediatric Low-grade Astrocytoma Brain Tumor Week 2020 scheduled for July 19, 2020-July 24, 2020.
