|Families with children battling brain tumors encounter many obstacles. Financial issues can play a big role in the stress for these families. Fortunately, there are some wonderful organizations that can help. Whether you are looking for help finding complimentary housing while your child is being treated at a facility far from your home, assistance with flight costs to a treatment program, or just general financial assistance due to the burden of medical costs and lost income due to your child’s illness, there is hope.|
Friends of Karen’s mission is to provide emotional, financial, and advocacy support for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, in order to help keep them stable, functioning, and able to cope. Since our founding in 1978, we have served over 4,000 children and their families regardless of race, color, creed, sex or handicap in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
